How the Cost Scenario Works
The calculator does not use hidden customer averages or a generic probability of losing contracts. It uses only:
- Entered external spend: The portion of monthly external support and GRC spend you expect the platform to replace, compared with the Professional plan ($749/mo).
- Entered time savings: The weekly hours you expect the platform to save, valued at the fully loaded hourly rate you provide. Do not include labor value already counted in the entered spend reduction.
- A three-year planning horizon: The annual modeled difference multiplied by three. Contract value is not counted as savings.
- Explicit exclusions: Implementation, remediation, assessment, cloud, security-tool, and internal change-management costs are not estimated for you.
Government Cost Context
DoD's 32 CFR final-rule analysis estimated a small entity's three-year Level 2 self-assessment and affirmation cost at roughly $37,000 and a Level 2 C3PAO assessment and affirmation cost at roughly $105,000. Those regulatory estimates are not vendor quotes and exclude much of the implementation and remediation needed to meet NIST SP 800-171.
